This policy explains what information a-salah.dev collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. The site is run by Abdulrahman Salah. For any privacy question, email me@a-salah.dev.

The contact form
When you send a message through the contact form, it collects your name, your email address, a subject and your message. The message is emailed to me so I can reply, and a copy is saved in the website’s database so it isn’t lost if an email goes missing. I use these details only to answer your enquiry and, if we work together, to run the project.
I don’t sell your details, add you to a mailing list or share them with anyone else. I keep messages for as long as the conversation or the project needs them, and you can ask me to delete them at any time.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics, connected through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to see how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they come from. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, an approximate location based on your IP address, and how you reached the site.
I use these numbers in aggregate to improve the site. I can’t identify you personally from them. Google processes this data under its own terms, described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics in any browser with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Site Kit also loads Google’s sign-in script on the site, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when a page loads.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses:
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (names starting with
_ga), used to tell visits apart and count returning visitors. - WordPress cookies, only if you log in or leave a comment, to remember your login or your comment details.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
Hosting and email
The site is hosted by Hostinger and served through Hostinger’s CDN. Like any web server, they keep short-term logs of requests, including IP addresses, for security and to fix problems. Emails sent by the site, such as contact form notifications, go out through an email delivery service connected to the site.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To do that, email me@a-salah.dev from the address you used to contact me, and say what you’d like done. I’ll confirm by email once it’s done.
Deleting your messages removes them from my inbox and from the website’s database. It doesn’t affect analytics data, which isn’t linked to your name or email address.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles data changes, for example a new form or a new analytics tool, this page will be updated and the date above changed.
